Convention Programme Booklet
The Convention Programme Booklet (digital or printed) is provided for all dancer attendees. It must include:
- Essential Information for Dancers
- Welcome message
- Venue map
- Thank-you messages
- Dancing at a Glance
- Meetings at a Glance
- Convention Committee Members
- Advertising
- National Anthem
- Agenda for the Dancer Interest Meeting
- Emergency Call for Medical Aid (ECMA) showcase information
- Any State legal requirements
- Programme Content
- All dance levels and required competencies:
- Mainstream Sessions – for dancers who have completed the full Mainstream Programme
- Plus Sessions – for dancers who have completed the full Plus Programme
- Introduction to A1 – for dancers who have completed the full Plus Programme
- A1 Sessions – for dancers who have completed the full A1 Programme
- Each Square Dance session must be listed with:
- Session Name
- Venue
- Time
- Required Dancer Competency
- Example: PLUS: Hall 3, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. For dancers who have completed the full Plus Programme.
- Additional information such as Round Up procedure, seating, parking, etc.
- Note: This just is an outline of requirements, please check your Conventions Operations Manual for an up to date list of requirements.
- Layout Requirements
- Each page should contain only one session of the Dance Programme.
- Venues for Annual General Meetings, conferences, and related events must be scheduled to minimise conflicts of interest.
- The Convention after next should only include a half-page advertisement covering essential details.
- Approval Process
- Before finalisation, the Convention Committee must provide a draft copy of the Programme Booklet to the Board Management Committee “for Comment.”
- This must be done with sufficient time for feedback to be received and considered prior to printing.
- Printing
- Printing costs are covered by the Australian National Square Dance Conventions Board.
