The Refreshment Area should be of sufficient size to accommodate up to 200 people at any one time, including seating for approximately 100, subject to the availability of suitable space.
It should be equipped to provide water, tea, coffee, sugar, milk. Biscuits are optional if the budget permits.
Where permitted under the venue hire conditions, the Committee may undertake its own catering for the provision of continuous tea and coffee during sessions.
If feasible, a quiet Lounge Facility or Conversation Area—preferably adjacent to but separate from the Refreshment Area—should be provided. This space should include comfortable seating and be intended for quiet enjoyment and relaxation by Delegates.
In addition, non‑alcoholic liquid refreshments (e.g., water) must be available at all times adjacent to the stage and in the warm‑up room for Callers, Cuers, Official Guests, and Convention Officials, as well as any rooms that will be holding meetings.
